The Queen of my Universe was pondering the other day why the EU so desparately wanted Karadzic and why they’re making such a big deal of it. I couldn’t think of any reason. It’s not like he’s the worst person the West has ever done business with, and George Bush is responsible for a lot more deaths than he is.

I’m not saying he isn’t a scumbag and doesn’t deserve to rot in jail, or hell, or whatever his belief system deems the bottom of the barrel. Maybe they need someone to demonize now that Saddam Hussein is gone.

When you compare the records of Saddam, Karadzic and Bush, there’s a lots of points of intelligent comparison. I won’t be discussing any of those today. I’d like to focus instead on the more inane topic of pre- and post-capture grooming.

Here we see Saddam in “Spider Hole Chic.” He’s got that wild thing going. It looks like before he heard the humvees rolling in he was out walking along the street mumbling to himself and hauling off a 40 he kept in his pants pocket. He looks much more like his evil old self in the “after” picture. I wonder who decides on hairstyles for the “after” picture. Is it the prisoner?

Pre-capture Karadzic on the other hand, looks like some eastern European version of Santa Claus. I could totally see the bearded Karadzic doing homeopathic medicine, yoga, or sitting around hitting a hookah with Tommy Chong. What is he thinking with that post capture picture? Flock of Seagulls? Easy on the product there K.

All of this prompts me to wonder what George Bush will look like in a just world after his capture and imprisonment in the Hague, where he and Karadzic can both get boned up the ass for being fucking wiseguys. One of my missions this summer is to learn how to use Photoshop Elements. This picture will be my first victim… I promise.

All of this thinking reminded me of this old Pink Floyd song. This would be like the country club prison Bush will likely end up in if he ever has to answer for his crimes.
