Chubb missed a golden opportunity.
If you don’t read Seth Godin, your job is probably entirely in meatspace.
In today’s post, he describes a tragic attempt by an insurance agency to pocket a little more money by playing on fear.
The problem is, they completely missed the boat. Not to offend any particular nationality, but was their latest brainstorming session somewhere 80 kilometers east of Bangalore?
What they should be selling is Child Abduction insurance to pathologically fearful parents. A guaranteed hit and newsmaker all in one. Included perks might be a uniformed SWAT team and an AMBER alert insert on American Idol.
Within three months, suburban moms & dads warming soccer stands in order to watch their preschoolers toddle towards the goals will be smugly sharing their coverage levels.
Chubb, please hit “contact me” or leave a comment to find where to send that big fat check.
Sincerely,
QoTU
