Signage for the Very Dense
My road to work is mostly rural backroads, and most of us that drive on them, especially during non-peak hours tend to do so at excessive speeds. Given this lack of law and order in the backcountry, and perhaps a slightly lower level of education, when there’s a particularly odious intersection at which stopping is a matter of some urgency it’s appropriately marked.
At this point, you usually see a stop ahead sign on ONE side of the road. Not here.
If you didn’t get the concept after the “yeller” sign, there’s red signs ahead that seem to be indicating a future change in your behavior.
Then, when you get to the intersection, the message becomes even clearer.
And… just in case you were looking at the OTHER side of the road and one STOP sign STILL wasn’t enough….
The ironic part is that I hardly ever see anyone at this intersection.
